Who may use Video Party

You must be at least 13 years old and meet the minimum age required in your location. If you are not old enough to enter an enforceable agreement, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these terms on your behalf. You are responsible for keeping your Google account and connected devices secure and for approving only device codes you recognize.

What the service provides

Video Party helps you organize your own videos on a compatible desktop computer and watch them on a paired Android TV. Local streaming requires the Mac to be awake with the app running and both devices connected to a suitable trusted network. Cloud playback requires an uploaded cloud copy and internet access. Cloud storage is available by invitation and subject to your assigned allowance. The app does not provide a catalog of movies, television channels, or licensed entertainment.

Playback depends on supported devices, codecs, networks, and available storage. Preparing a TV copy may change video quality, resolution, audio, or format; original files remain unchanged. TV playback does not include the Mac app’s panoramic or stereoscopic viewing features. We may improve, limit, change, or discontinue features, with notice when required by law.

Your content and responsibilities

You retain ownership of your videos and other content. You grant us only the rights needed to host, process, transmit, and display the content you choose to use with the service, for operating the service and fulfilling your instructions. You must have the rights or permission needed to use and upload each file.

Do not use the service for unlawful content, copyright infringement, child sexual abuse material, harassment, malware, unauthorized access, or attempts to circumvent access controls or storage limits. Do not use it to distribute content publicly without the necessary rights. We may restrict access or remove content when reasonably necessary to address unlawful activity, security issues, or material violations of these terms.

Software and third-party services

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive permission to use the Video Party software for its intended purposes, subject to these terms. The Video Party name, interface, and other proprietary materials remain owned by SilverGrid Tech or their respective owners. Third-party and open-source components remain governed by their own licenses; these terms do not limit the rights those licenses grant.

Google sign-in, Google Play, operating systems, and other third-party services have their own terms and policies. Google Play manages updates to the Play-distributed Android TV app. Website APK installations use the separate in-app update flow. App availability may vary by device and region.

Pricing and storage

Video Party currently has no ads, in-app purchases, or paid subscriptions. Cloud access is not an unlimited storage entitlement or a permanent guarantee. If we introduce paid features, we will disclose their prices and terms before asking you to agree to a charge. Your internet provider or other third parties may charge for data or connectivity.

Privacy and deletion

Our Privacy Policy at https://videoparty.app/privacy describes how we handle information. Keep your own backups: Video Party is not a backup service. Removing a local listing, deleting a cloud copy, and deleting your account are different actions. To request account and associated cloud-data deletion, follow https://videoparty.app/delete-account or contact info@silvergridtech.com. Account deletion does not delete original files on your devices.

Availability and liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available, without guarantees of uninterrupted operation, compatibility with every file or device, or fitness for a particular purpose. We take reasonable steps to operate the service, but network, hardware, and third-party failures can interrupt it.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, SilverGrid Tech is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable statutory consumer rights, fraud, or other non-excludable obligations.

Ending use and changes to these terms

You may stop using the service at any time and request deletion of your account. We may suspend or end access for material violations, security threats, legal requirements, or service discontinuation, providing notice and an opportunity to resolve issues where reasonable and legally permitted.

We may update these terms, change the date above, and provide notice of material changes when required by law. Mandatory rights and protections that apply where you live continue to apply. These terms do not require private arbitration or waive rights you cannot lawfully waive.
